WIP - Hug Me Heart :3

Bottom half of my pillow is finished 💜 Now I need to form the two lobes on the top. If it isn't obvious already, this pillow will be heart-shaped. I'm using this pattern and this yarn.

Given what's happening tomorrow in the US, I'm so glad I got yarn for a new project and my HG Kimaris Trooper. I need shit to look forward to.

Tiejen Log - Look at my shelf, boy

My end goal is to get Tieria his own shelving unit so that I have room for the HG Seravee whenever it gets restocked in my location. But for now, this will do.
There are more acrylic stands that I plan on purchasing for my collection, but it feels as thought the ones I want most are hard to come by... if the Easter and Christmas stands show up again, I'm grabbing them without a second thought. I want the S1 I-Doll too, but all the ones I've found on sale so far are missing their stands :(
I'll pose MG Virtue so that it's holding the bazooka later. TieJen Log - Notes on Conflict
Oct. 17th, 2024 02:09 pmOne of Jenni's core issues near the beginning of the show has to do with the fact that she is self sufficient to a fault. She's prone to self-isolating, and she tries to solve problems by herself in her own little silo. Asking for help means making yourself vulnerable, and vulnerable = scary. You understand.
At a glance, this doesn't seem like it would be a huge hinderance to other people. However, when you're part of a team and you are specifically tasked with piloting a support machine that attaches to a larger unit, acknowledging that you need help when you're struggling and communicating that to other people is necessary. This leads to fuck-ups like ignoring Tieria's orders when he tells her to fall back during the HRL's Gundam capture attempt and subsequently running out of fuel (which ironically burdened her teammates more in the long run!).
This pisses Tieria all the way off because the person who is supposed to be his support machine can throw a wrench into his plans without saying anything and he absolutely haaaaaaates that. However, his personality does kind of feed the problem. Jenni isn't going to feel like she is allowed to open up and ask for help if the person she's asking is incredibly strict and abrasive. She's not the only one who needs to change.
What I'm trying to say is that these two are absolutely capable of making each other worse.

I'm still a little banged up about that site closing because the little Gundam/Gunpla fandom on that site was chill AND active. I've been noodling around on Pillowfort a bit, but there just... don't seem to be as many active Gundam fans as a whole, let alone fans of Gundam 00. All of the communities dedicated to Gundam and Gunpla haven't been sneezed on in months. Quite a few Cohost people seem to be giving Pillowfort a try... maybe that will help matters? I suppose I could always be the change I wish to see in the world through creating a community.

I don't even know how to expand upon or articulate my thoughts RE: how this relates to TieJen because it 100% describes why I glommed on to this character in particular. May be fuel for a later entry if I can put my feelings into words.

Thoughts on Post Length
Sep. 11th, 2024 08:21 pmI will say that one thing I am excited about here is the fact that long-form posting feels more... encouraged here, in a sense? I loved reading long posts and comments on Cohost, but I still felt like I had to trim the fat off of all my thoughts and make sure that everything I posted was easy for everybody to digest at a glance. Old habits enforced by larger social media websites die hard, I suppose.
This does excite me because I have a lot of TieJen thoughts that could easily evolve into essays, though. Especially as my rewatch of 00 continues. I'm already thinking about how Jenni's core issues in Season 1 are self-isolation and toxic self-reliance, and how it affects her dynamic with Tieria. I'm gonna be honest: there were points in which they were making each other worse.
