andr0meda: A Tieria Erde Hug Chara Plush. (Tieria Erde)
A wooden shelf with official merch of Tieria Erde from Gundam 00. There are HG models of Virtue, Seraphim, and Raphael and a MG Virtue. Tieria's gala outfit figure, 3 acrylic stands, 4 plushes, and a S2 Tieria I-Doll are also in frame

My end goal is to get Tieria his own shelving unit so that I have room for the HG Seravee whenever it gets restocked in my location. But for now, this will do.

There are more acrylic stands that I plan on purchasing for my collection, but it feels as thought the ones I want most are hard to come by... if the Easter and Christmas stands show up again, I'm grabbing them without a second thought. I want the S1 I-Doll too, but all the ones I've found on sale so far are missing their stands :(

I'll pose MG Virtue so that it's holding the bazooka later. It is my pride and joy, but it is as stubborn and immovable as its pilot...

A HG Throne Drei on a glittery red stand.
The HG Throne Drei aiming its hand gun at the viewer.

You've heard of women's rights, now get ready for women's wrongs!

I love it when I get to build suits that match the glitter stands I have in my stash <3 A stand for this kit is 100% necessary, since its so back heavy. The sticker on the shield pod is a bit scrungy, but we'll cope.

Up next is my beloved's HG Raphael <3

I still can't believe I got this guy and Raphael at my local hobby store before I got Seravee. Bandai Namco, free my man. Please ;-;

A HG Dynames holding its sniper rifle.

Fun fact: I also got my brother a HG Dynames as a gift since Neil is his favorite Gundam Meister. I had to buy him some nippers so that he wouldn't use a nail clipper to cut the parts out of the runners again.

Gonna start porting over my Gunpla builds that I initally posted to Cohost! My 00 related Gunpla will be placed in a separate post for organization purposes.

An HG Guncannon and a HG Guntank.

Putting together the Guntank proved to be chaotic, since one of the wheels fell off and had to glue it back on with epoxy ;-; Guncannon was a fun time, though!

A HG Shenlong holding its spear weapon.

Shenlong was also dope, I need to get some pictures of it with its Dragon Fang activated. While I have mixed feelings about Gundam Wing itself, the MS designs were top tier. 10/10, no notes.

A HG Hyaku Shiki.

Lastly, Hyaku Shiki. I rarely like MS designs that are dominated by gold, but this one kicks ass. I think its the contrast that is provided by the navy blue. The presence of Captain Quattro in Zeta Gundam also gives it extra points.

A HG Exia Repair II and a HG 0 Gundam on a shelf. They are facing the camera.
Two HG Gunpla models. Exia Repair II is brandishing its GN Sword at the 0 Gundam, which is braced for impact.
Two HG Gunpla Models. The 0 Gundam is blocking its body with its GN saber while facing Exia Repair II.

This is both my last Gunpla post on Cohost and my first Gunpla post on Dreamwidth. We're kicking things off with a bang by posting the two suits from 00's final battle!

I've loved the last battle between Setsuna and Ribbons because the actual focus of the fight is supposed to be the symbolism. Exia and the 0 Gundam are not the two strongest mechs in the show, but they are the first two suits that Setsuna and Ribbons respectively are shown piloting. In the first episode, Setsuna as a little boy viewed the 0 Gundam as an angel or a deity, and in the final episode, he was the one who destroyed it.

Shit gets even cooler when you realize two things:

1. The 0 Gundam is supposed to represent the RX-78-2 from the original Mobile Suit Gundam (1979).
2. Ribbons shares a VA with Gundam's first protagonist, Amuro.

When you observe both the patterns in the show and some of the more meta callbacks to the first Gundam series, it becomes pretty clear that this fight isn't necessarily just about Setsuna defeating Ribbons. He is facing and defeating a formative experience from his past so that he (and by extension, the rest of humanity) can continue to move forward. I really love this show.

My hobby store has not stocked a HG Seravee yet, but I did get a HG Raphael!

A HG Raphael kit, still in its box.

Admittedly, while I do like Raphael, I wish that they had stuck with some of the general design themes that were present in Virtue and Seravee. Virtue and Seravee are both chunky Gundams with thick thighs, while Raphael just looks like a regular guy with a bunch of extra stuff stapled to its back. I once showed this design to a guy who liked chunky mechs and he said. "This one skipped leg day."

A fully assembled HG Raphael Gundam. It is a purple and white mech with thin legs and a T-shaped structure on its back, unlike its predecessors.

Since being introduced to the Raphael Dominions, I wish that had been the final design. The design progression just feels more natural and fluid when you compare it to Tieria's other two mechs. At the very least... Bandai! Drop a HG kit and my life is yours!
